Cool video about giant mountain bike - have a look:
Ive had this bike now for about 3 months. Its been over quite a bit of pavement and a few trails. Overall an awesome bike for the money. Things that have been replaced are handlebars and pedals, also the rear wheel (under warranty) due to a defect with the bearing race. Soon to replace will be the saddle, and grips. Things I like: bike is very smooth, fast, looks good, awesome geometry, durable, and easy to maintain. Dislikes: Chain will sometime slip from front chainring during rough, usually dowhill terrain. At times, slight hesitancy in shifting. Please ask questions if you have any, I'll be glad to answer them.

@Shorty000112 Thanks for the tip, I didn’t know I would like biking so much otherwise I would have went with a better bike. I thought the money I spent on this bike was a lot, but now after having this one for over a year, I wish I would have spent at least another 500 and got a better bike. This one is very limited in its components and upgrade options.
You said that the chain keeps falling off the front sprockets and I have been into biking for many years. I am only 16 but trust me I know what I am talking about when it comes to mountain bikes. The reason for the chain falling off on the downhills is because the bike is a hardtail and has no rear shock. So it is a downside to the bike but when you take a hardtail mountain bike downhill and you tend to be a little rough on it that is what happens. The reason that a full suspension mountain bi
You’re a big guy!!
Nice bike.
I am thinking of buying a Giant boulder (not se) or trek 820…
not sure what I should go for.
You cant really adjust the position of the handlebars without buying a new one. The ones I purchased have a 40mm rise or maybe 50, cant remember. The handlebar it comes with has a 10mm rise I think. But there is not a way to adjust the handlebars other than loosening the bolt and rotating them forward or backward, but that doesn’t do much.
how do you Adjust The hand bar higher. the position is hurting my hands
I am a happy owner of Giant Boulder 500 model released in 1998. Mechanics works till this day without any issues. No other bike gave me so much fun and relax. I think this bike is going to live longer than me.
